I’ve been spiritually attacked many times in my life and over the years I’ve become more experienced at spotting when it happens. Sometimes the attacks feel very intense but oftentimes they start out very subtly–the point is for the person not to realize they are being attacked.
With this post I am focusing on intentional spiritual attacks–the ones purposefully sent towards someone to cause some kind of harm. You can learn about the different types of spiritual attacks here.
A “spiritual” (or energetic) attack is one that is carried out by unseen forces to cause harm, blockages, and/or confusion. An attack can be intentional or unintentional.
Why would someone intend to spiritually attack me?
The answer is not so simple. Intentions usually come from a lower vibrational place–anger, jealousy, hate, pain. Someone needs to have a strong sense of wanting to cause some kind of harm–sometimes they may only want to block you in some way but they cannot control the form in which their manifestation takes. In other words, an intention to just block you can expand into something more. This is why you want to be very careful what you speak into existence, from a lower vibrational place (such as rage)…you might end up regretting the outcome.
I’ve been spiritually attacked by people I don’t even know. Sometimes folks just need a target for their pain and you might have happened to cross paths with a person seeking an outlet. I can’t stress the importance of spiritual protection enough–you have to maintain your energetic hygiene every. single. day.
Who can send a spiritual attack my way?
Oftentimes folks rely on seasoned spiritualists who work on what they may call “baneful” magic, or a “left-handed path”. One thing I want to to stress is that just because someone may be able to perform these types of spells (jobs) doesn’t necessarily mean they are “evil” people. Energy is neutral; what we do with energy is what can be determined as “good” or “bad”–and these are terms we constructed.
However, in order to perform a spiritual attack oftentimes these workers will utilize lower vibrational spirits or entities to send them to attack the intended target. And yes sometimes other people surrounding the target (like people they live with) can feel the impact of the attack. But it’s not always an expert spiritualist doing the attacking. There are plenty of “cursing” psalms in the Bible, for example, so anyone can send an attack your way if they really want to impede you in some way. With a non-expert though the energy can just as easily rebound back on them, so if you are ever considering sending an attack towards someone just be sure you know what you’re doing (or get someone who does).
How can I tell if I am being spiritually attacked?
With a blatant attack, you’ll be able to tell right away because things will shift in your life to make you feel like you’ve hit a streak of bad luck. Nothing goes right, no matter how hard you try to shift things in your favor. You will feel blocked at every turn–I like to use the word “oppressed” when it comes to a spiritual attack because honestly that is what it feels like. It’s like every drop of energy and motivation being squeezed out of you—it’s no fun at all.
