Have you ever hosted a party where everything seems to go wrong? It’s easy to feel like nothing is going your way when it’s raining on your outdoor party or the party favors don’t look like what you ordered online. But did you stop to notice that your guests are actually having fun and making the most of it? Life is kind of like a party–you can focus on what’s not working or you can look at what there is to actually enjoy.
This week we will welcome a powerful Full Moon in Cancer, which could have us feeling like there’s nothing to celebrate but Spirit assures this is just an illusion. You may feel more emotionally sensitive and vulnerable this week as you bring to light the parts of you that need a bit more healing, and love. Spirit recommends you stay grounded and focus on the facts to not get overwhelmed by illusions and delusions; don’t assume anything. As well, don’t be afraid to feel your feels.
Is the glass half-empty or half-full? That’s up to you to decide.
Beginning of the week:
Mama Moon in Cancer is asking us to clarify what safety looks like in order to better understand our relationship to our material resources. We are still in Capricorn season, which is very driven by the need to succeed, and success for the sea-goat looks like having tangible assets. You may be feeling a sense of lack and insecurity if you don’t have “enough” of something (like money), but this Cancerean Moon is asking you if you only feel safety in things. What about your other assets, like your friends and family? Your health? And does your sense of safety evaporate with the loss of things?
So many people have been negatively impacted by what they’ve lost due to the wildfires in Los Angeles, and even though the loss of material things can feel so devastating, Spirit reminds us that there are still blessings to be grateful for. This Moon is having us sit with what we consider to be valuable in our lives, and if there’s room to redefine. Doing this reflection and being open to new possibilities will help us welcome even greater abundance. Consider letting go of your old stories around money and material things.
Middle of the week:
You might have your way of seeing the world and habits you’ve adopted along the way that help you understand things from your vantage point. You have your rituals, routines, and definitions that you’ve established along the way as you’ve observed your environment. But possibly things haven’t gone the way you expected them to. This is all part of Spirit’s master plan to challenge your internal structures. Consider that maybe they have a better plan for your life than you do.
This week they are asking you to surrender your notions. You don’t have to give up on your way of being completely, but at least for the remainder of this week consider new possibilities, opportunities, thoughts, beliefs, systems, etc. Allow yourself to zoom out and see your world through a different lens. You will be pleasantly surprised by what you encounter. Release your goals and lists for the next few days and have some fun in this “party” called life.

End of the week:
A wonderful conclusion is taking place in your life. Old wounds have finally healed; old chapters are ready to be closed. This is a powerful time of closure as you step into a bright new beginning! It’s no surprise that this blessed new era is happening as we enter Aquarius season–making space to welcome the Lunar New Year at the end of the month.
We’re shedding old skin to welcome the year of the Wood Snake, which will bless us with a glow-up! Use the remainder of this Capricorn season to assess what you want and what it would take to get that, then use the rising fire within you in this upcoming energetic season to attract your manifestations. Believe in yourself and in the power of your dreams!
