Venus is in her home planet of Taurus, luxuriating, and inviting us all to chill with her. When was the last time you took a break? And I mean a real break, not just sleep or a lunch break. When was the last time you gave yourself permission to just be, and not worry so much about doing? Learn from Venus, the Goddess of Love, and take time for self-love today.
We are not robots, though we are more than capable of going beyond our limitations. It’s tempting to keep going; to keep working and striving, but we all need rest that’s more than just sleep. Our minds need breaks, and so do our hearts. I’m one that is a workaholic; I recognized this about myself a few years back, and I’m thankful for having this awareness now. I had a hard time being still–I felt guilty for not being “productive” enough. Does this sound like you? Take it from me, burnout is no joke, and it could cost you your health.
Spirit will find a way to stop you from your own destruction, because our egos have set a sneaky trap for us of working to the bone, and then feeling badly about it. Ego will literally work you to death, so be mindful of where you are right now with your health and well-being. Oftentimes, illnesses manifest in the body from emotional or spiritual blocks, so if you don’t take the time for actual pauses in momentum, it could cause some real damage. Today’s card is a gentle warning to stop the speeding train you’re on, and get off before it crashes. Put off the problems of the world for another day. Focus on yourself–take a bubble bath, take a nap, put on some feel-good music, wear comfy PJ’s…find your zen today. This would also be a wonderful time to engage in some beautification, of yourself and home. Maybe get your mani/pedi on, or buy yourself some flowers. Honor yourself!
Actually sometimes the best solutions and ideas come from moments of pause. Pauses give you a moment to catch your breath and actually become aware of where you are, and how you are. By stopping you can see what you have missed, or accidentally overlooked. The devil is in the details, as they say, and overlooking something now could be problematic for you later on. Today is not one to jump into contracts or agreements; ask for time to review and do so another day. Use this opportune moment to get grounded in the present and wait for the best moment to continue on your journey.
