Let’s talk about Desires–where do they come from? How do they take shape in our lives? Today dig deep and ask yourself why you want the things you do; the ‘why’ is so important because you’ll want to know if they come from feelings of lack or love. It’ll be good for you to know because desires born from lack have no substance, and therefore won’t manifest fully for you. Better to know this now than fixate on trying to manifest something from a place of no substance.
Let’s keep it real; a lot of things we want are a result of wanting what someone else has. Or we want them to try to fit in, or stand out. Basically, many of our desires are created for superficial reasons. Don’t take this truth as a way to judge yourself, but rather to free yourself from an illusion that is holding you back. The reason many of our desires aren’t manifested is because they are rooted in lack. Or worse, they manifest in the form of chaos and destruction. We want to re-train ourselves to create from a place of Love. The first step is always asking yourself, why do I want this? You’ll find release in the truth.
Another reason you’ll want to look into the root of your desires is because you might be tempted today with an “easy” way to receive it. Something might come across your perspective with the promise of the very thing you want, but know that there’s more to the story than meets the eye. Be very careful today in entering into contracts or agreements that seem like dreams come true; you may be engaging with another illusion–something that will turn to sand as soon as the clock strikes midnight. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. And then you’ll soon discover it didn’t fill the void in the way you thought it would. You’ll never receive true happiness or fulfillment from lies. Be honest with yourself and others as you show up to Life, authentically.
Living authentically also means being willing to be surrounded by authenticity. Some of your current bonds may have to be released because they are no longer nourishing you. If you find that you have to compromise yourself in order to be accepted by others, that is too high of a cost to pay. Don’t dim your light for anyone. Drop the act, the masks, and the costumes, and just be. Even if you aren’t sure yet of who your authentic self is, be open to learn. Be yourself even if others can’t seem to comprehend what that is.
Lastly, you might feel the urge to escape from reality–you might not want to engage with the truths surrounding you. I get it, sometimes it’s just easier to live in a lie. But again, lies have no substance and therefore cannot last. The best course of action instead is to allow things to unfold naturally, in their truest form. Be gentle with yourself as you learn to drop the pretense, and allow the truth to purify you.
