Lunar New Year 2026: Year of the Fire Horse

The Lunar New Year in 2026 begins on February 17th with a New Moon in Pisces. That day is gonna be spicy because it’s also the start of Pisces season (the last season in the astrological wheel), as well as a solar eclipse! This Lunar New Year ushers in the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac. More specifically, 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse–a powerful combination that amplifies themes of movement, courage, and radical self-expression.

In Chinese astrology the Horse is associated with freedom, momentum, independence, and forward motion. Horse years tend to be fast-paced and catalytic, pushing people to take risks, break out of stagnation, and pursue paths that feel more authentic (even if they feel uncertain).
