I felt called to say something about this topic, of the impact of spirituality on mental health. I’ve noticed lately there’s been a rise of fear mongering–we’re all on edge about something but I don’t like to see people who consider themselves to be “spiritualists” using their platforms to spread more fear. Your first authority is to yourself and your higher power. Don’t allow anyone’s message (even channeled) to throw you off your path. I feel that a lot of the posts we see on social media regarding spiritual messages can be really triggering. If you don’t already have a solid footing with your mental health, these messages can take you over the edge.
Those of us who are more psychically attuned may feel called to share warnings and energy we pick up BUT please remember to be discerning. Not everyone who is a spiritual person is “perfect” or totally “healed”–we’re ALL HUMAN, flaws and all. That means that when we share messages we are also doing so from our level of consciousness, awareness, and health. Fact of the matter is a lot of folks are not mentally or emotionally well, as much as they may act like they are, and they may be projecting their own fears onto you.
Your truest guide lives within you. Don’t give your power away to anyone else. Take everything you hear and see, and process it accordingly. Don’t just accept things as fact because someone you consider an “enlightened” person tells you to.
This is such a tricky topic but the point I want to share with you is that fear is always a part of our experience because we’ve been conditioned that way. Unfortunately many people know this and will use it against you, for maybe reasons (mainly to use you in some way). Being more in touch with our spiritual side/psychic abilities does take a toll, especially on mental health, and some folks already deal with underlying issues and trauma. TUNE IN and access the power within you; everything else will confirm or deny your inner truth.
