The benefits of therapy and how to get started

I’ve been working with a therapist for over 2 years now, and it has transformed my life in so many blessed ways. I always recommend it to everyone I know, but I realize not everyone knows how to get started or even what the benefits of therapy would be.

There are many different types of therapy and healing modalities. You can find affordable therapists and counselors in your area, according to your health insurance or income; many even offer sliding scale fees. You can check out psychologytoday.com or zocdoc.com to find therapists according to your needs, and I highly recommend chatting with them prior to signing up to work with them, this way you can get a feel for who they are and if they are a match for you.
